New Suffolk House

The client had lived in a Grade II listed Old Rectory in the centre of the village for 50 years and was looking for a house in the locality in which to retire. She soon realized that building a new house on a plot she owned immediately opposite the original was the obvious solution.

The design of the new house was to be in keeping with the original without imitating it, and to be contemporary but in an understated way. The house is of its time and of its place.
