Country House, Conwy

This much altered Grade I listed country house originates from the sixteenth century.

The new extension provides a large additional dining room as an alternative to the magnificent but poorly lit Elizabethan ‘Plaster Room’. The design refers to the free standing ‘Crystal Room’ designed by Clough Williams-Ellis for the current owner’s mother, and is intended to be sympathetic to the house without being a Victorian replica. It exploits spectacular views across the Conwy Valley.

The commission also included the redesign of the kitchen and a new terrace.
